We thought it might be nice for people to know a little more about us here at Big Day Discounts so we all set out to write a small biograpghy about ourselves - it only needed to be a couple of lines long BUT for some reason it proved quite difficult for us so we decided that we would write a little bit about each other instead!
Emma Waring (written by Terri Peckham)
Emma and I (Terri) have been friends all our lives, and so know each other very well. As a friend Emma is very loyal and always there when you need her, mind due her advice always starts with a Vodka and Diet Coke!
If you are booking a holiday then Emma is the person to see - she loves traveling and will find out about every detail for you - I think she has a 'slight' obcession with Trip advisor BUT in all fairness her hard work pays off and all our trips have been very enjoyable! She is also a bit of a control freak (a nice one lol) and a perfectionist too but we love her for it!
Emma loves her hubby (obviously!) Celtic FC (don't ask her about football after a drink, you could be there a while), shopping, and all things pink!
Wherever she goes a laugh and a joke is not far behind, and she is happiest when with her Family and Friends (and no doubt with a vodka & diet coke in hand).
Terri Peckham (written by Sean Fitzpatrick)
As co-founder of Big Day Discounts, Terri Peckham is forever counting down the days until her childhood dream and life-long ambition finally materializes; and the Big Day Discounts website goes live.
Terri is a keen Take That enthusiast, and avid Robbie Williams fan, and is already very excited at the thought of their tour next year! Terri is definately the more sensible of the three of us! When Emma and myself decide we really should have 'one more for the road' at 3am on a school night - it's Terri reminding us that we will regret it in the morning!
The good influence that Terri usually is, she does have one downfall - The Paperchase addiction! Emma and Terri are both Obsessed !! Every week without fail they are in there buying 'bootiful' new pens and notebooks which are then replaced the following week with new 'bootiful' new pens and notebooks!
Terri really is one of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting and she plays a very important role at Big Day Discounts - well she's the only one that can carry 3 drinks after all!
Sean Fitzpatrick (written by Emma Waring)
Sean may be the youngest member of CBG but what he lacks in age he makes up for with cheek, wit and great ideas. He's great company and always keeps us amused with his stories; keep an eye out for his 'Thought of the week!’
He is known for his sarcastic sense of humour (I bare the brunt of this usually), his extensive hat collection (one for every occasion), his love of shopping (always keen to help people spend their money), and his love for Celtic FC.
He keeps 'Subway' in business (his favourite being Chicken Tikka Monday), and loves to keep the 'MacDee's' employees on their toes with his orders of "plain Chicken Mayo burgers" ("you get two for less than the price of a normal McChicken Sandwich you know, and they're not that much smaller either", we are often told).
His hobbies include drinking, watching football, drinking, playing pool, drinking, going on holiday (but he hates flying so this usually involves a fair bit of drinking before he gets anywhere), and of course, although this goes without saying, working at Big Day Discounts! (Well he must do, the majority of our early meetings took place in a pub and involved a fair bit of drinking afterwards).
Sean manages our Twitter and Blog pages and is busy working on our first edition of our monthly downloadable magazine which is launching in Novermber - he does a mighty fine job.
He's an all round brilliant guy and we're very lucky to have him on board.
